Where I grew up, some of my closest friends were the kids that lived on my block. They were who I spent time with, shared my victories like landing my first skateboarding launch with and my failures like when my girlfriend broke up with me.
This small band of friends did life together. That is what City Blocks is all about. A group of people to connect, have fun, grow, and do life together with here at City Church.

Bowman Block
Hello and welcome! We’re Connie and Brian Bowman, active members of City Church with a deep passion for serving. We have four grown children and are proud grandparents to a sweet 3-year-old. We invite you to join us for fellowship, delicious food, fun activities, and learning as we walk together with Jesus. This block is for couples. We currently meet at our home on the 3rd Friday of the month and plan outings also.
Our group....This is the eat, talk, play games, crochet and have deep theology discussions group while still getting along with each other.
The goal is to create deeper relationships with people while doing life with each other and learn how to walk with Jesus. We are and will continue to be a group of imperfect people who are in pursuit of Jesus.
As the group gets bigger, the goal will be to find others to lead and split. We can't stay comfortable. We all want that but that's not what we are called to do. We are called to share the good news and do life together.
Our block meets every other Friday at 6PM in our home in Pekin.

We want to welcome all women of any age that are interested in bible study, prayer, service to others and lots of crazy fellowship and fun.
We will be meeting 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month.
1st Mondays are dedicated to bible study and prayer meetings.
These will be at Bec Burroughs home.
3rd Mondays are dedicated to service to others and/or to fun and (sometimes) crazy fellowship.
3rd Monday activities will be discussed and decided in advance.
Place to meet will also be decided at that time.
Both evenings are at 5:30 p.m.

We're a group of friends who want to help each other break free from sinful habits and grow closer to God. None of us are perfect - but we know the one who is, and He's the only one who can truly change us from the inside out.
This is a safe space to be real, talk openly about our struggles, and walk through life together. We laugh, pray, dig into Scripture, and encourage one another as we learn to live in a way that glorifies God.
Come hang out with us every Saturday at the City Church Cafe for food, fun, and fellowship - You'll fit right in!
This City Block is for the more mature-aged Christian. Married couples and singles are welcome! We will enjoy planned and spontaneous activities together such as going to the movies, dinner, checking out local events and bands, book/Bible studies, etc. I am looking forward to meeting and spending time in fellowship with you!

We desire to develop friendships as we enjoy fellowship and support each other in our walk with the Lord.
On the first Sunday evening of every month, we would like to meet in our home(Germantown Hills area) and then have a dinner/activity on another day of the month.

We are a young couple who are going through the many life changes that may happen in your early twenties. We graduated college last year, got married in July, started new jobs and are embracing the new chapter of life we are in.
We are looking to find a community of believers who may be going through the same phase of life.
