City Blocks
Where I grew up, some of my closest friends were the kids that lived on my block. They were who I spent time with, shared my victories like landing my first skateboarding launch with and my failures like when my girlfriend broke up with me.
This small band of friends did life together. That is what City Blocks is all about. A group of people to connect, have fun, grow, and do life together with here at City Church.

Marci Bengert + Shyrel McKinley
We are Marci and Shyrel, friends that have become a family in Christ! We have been part of City Church for over six years now and are excited to open up a City Block for ladies! We will be connecting and growing together through book studies, devotionals, and biblical conversations. While our block will be focused on developing relationships as women, we are also mothers so our block will host occasional family outings and date nights. Women of all ages and experiences are welcome!

We have been attending City Church for 2 and a half years. We are hoping this group becomes a connect point for people looking to make more friendships at City Church. Our plan is to meet every three weeks.
Grant + PattY Ledbetter and Jason + Krista Thomas- Currently FULL
Hello! We are Grant and Patty Ledbetter and Jason and Krista Thomas. City Church has been our home church for over 5 years. We are beyond blessed and grateful to make our City Block a place where families can meet and share a love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Some activities you can expect from our group are dinners, game nights, bowling, and swimming. We welcome you no matter where you are in your walk with Jesus - we want to grow together. Activities will be paired with devotionals, biblical marriage and parenting principles, sharing testimonies, and powerful prayer. We both have children between the ages of 5 and 13 and look forward to seeing their relationships grow with families who also have children. We look forward to meeting you and your family!
Tim + Shyrel McKinley
Hi! We are Tim and Shyrel McKinley. We have been married for almost 16 years and have three children; Ayden (17), Brena (15), and Calvin (6). We are excited for a chance to relate to others through doing life together and sharing our faith in Jesus. As parents, we are looking to do family-friendly activities and help facilitate relationships between the adults and our children. We welcome you to join us for family get-togethers where we can all share what God is doing in our lives and grow from those experiences together. Our family looks forward to building lifelong friendships; like a family within our church family.
Mary + Mike Overholt
Hello and welcome! We are Mike and Mary Overholt. City Church has been our home for several years. We are in our 50’s and have 3 grown children. If you are in a similar phase of life, come join us a couple times a month on the weekends. One Sunday afternoon can be at our house for food and fellowship. We can chat, swim, and play games! Another Saturday or Sunday we can meet up somewhere for a fun outing.We look forward to making new friendships!
DARRELL AND MICKI SLAVEN
Looking for some weirdos that love Jesus? Look no further! We are Darrell and Micki Slaven. Parents to 3 daughters, a son-in-law and bonus son. Papo and Mimi to an amazing granddaughter and grandson. We have been married 25 years and know all there is to marriage..NOT! We are still figuring this whole life thing out. If you’re looking to feed your belly and nourish your heart and soul, ours is the place to be. We meet every other Sunday at 5:30. Kids are welcome and we have a playroom. We do have cats if you are allergic. Please join us and meet others that just want to do life together.

This City Block is for the more mature-aged Christian. Married couples and singles are welcome! We will enjoy planned and spontaneous activities together such as going to the movies, dinner, checking out local events and bands, book/Bible studies, etc. I am looking forward to meeting and spending time in fellowship with you!

We are a happily married couple and have three school aged children. We chase God in a relatable way that just feels real. We hope to provide a place for families to find authentic moments with God through discussions and friendships that help us better understand who God is in our lives.
